These Terms govern your use of Chirp Finder: Smoke Alarm Beep ("the App") published by Bulpara Inc ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to them.
1. What the App is
An informational tool that listens for the chirp of a smoke or carbon monoxide alarm, helps you find which alarm is chirping, suggests what the chirp most likely means, and reads dates from alarm labels.
2. Not a smoke or CO detector
The App is not a smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector or safety device, and does not replace one. It does not detect smoke, fire or carbon monoxide, and it may miss sounds or misidentify them. Never rely on it to warn you of a fire or carbon monoxide. Keep working smoke and CO alarms installed as their makers and your local codes require. If an alarm sounds, follow its instructions: get out and call emergency services.
When the App recognises a fire or carbon monoxide alarm pattern, it shows a warning as a convenience only. Its absence means nothing.
3. Results are suggestions
Chirp meanings come from manufacturers' published manuals and vary by model. The App's ranking of alarms and its suggested meaning may be wrong. Your alarm's manual and its maker have the final word. Replace alarms according to their manufacturer's instructions and the date on their label.
4. Safety around alarms
Use a stable step or ladder when reaching ceiling alarms, and follow the manufacturer's instructions when removing, testing or replacing them. Turn off the power before touching a hardwired alarm's wiring.
5. Subscriptions
Chirp Finder Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, sold and billed by Apple. It renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple ID's subscription settings. A free trial, where offered, converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
6. Trademarks
Kidde, First Alert, BRK, X-Sense, Universal Security Instruments, Nest and Ring are trademarks of their respective owners. They are used only to identify alarms. The App is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
7. Acceptable use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and not to reverse engineer, modify or redistribute it except as permitted by law.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bulpara Inc is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from its use, including any injury, loss or damage from fire, smoke or carbon monoxide.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
